Sunny's New Dress

McKinley wanted me to fix her sewing machine this weekend. This is what I wound up with. I didn't even have pattern. I'm so proud of myself. I haven't sewn in 10 years. The hardest part was learning how to use a new sewing machine without having the owners manual. Oh, and making the button holes. I had to take the sewing machine outside, so I could watch kids and sew at the same time. I had all these materials saved here and there in different craft boxes.

An Uplifting Weekend

This past weekend Ma and Aunt sarah had invited me to go with them to a Beth Moore simulcast. It was so much fun, and she was speaking directly to me. Thank You Ma and Aunt sarah. Tony and the kids survived. He took all 6 of the kids and met his partner at the lake with his family and they tubed all day. He was very sore though.

We ate at Ruby Tuesdays

My mom told me to delete this picture, but still having some Barbee in me I didn't.

Welcome to McKinley's Spa

My mom recently took McKinley to get her first pedicure. By the way I think my first pedicure was when I was 26. Just a side note. I'm just sayin'. Any way McKinley decided that was going to be her profession. She came home and immediately set up shop. Here are some pictures. She's now taking appointments.

McKinley's reaction to how rough the bottom of my feet were.

This is the drying station, complete with books to read.

Brandon paid McKinley 5 dollars plus a 15 dollar tip for his pedicure with massage. She wasn't planning on charging him more than 50 cents! He enjoyed it do much, that's what he felt it was worth. She in turn gave him free pedicures for life as long as it was during regular business hours.

It felt so good!

Brandon wanted to learn how so McKinley made him her apprentice. Brady was his first customer.

Is 30 the new 40?!!!

Holy cow! I've never dreaded a birthday ever. I always wanted to be older in age because I looked so young. Maybe I was niaive not to have dreaded my 30th. Now I know all you "numerically mature" folks out there are laughing and thinking to yourselves..."she hasn't seen nothin yet", but it's bad. First I had to get glasses. Then I got plantar fascitis. (probably cause I'm so fat). Then... I started getting PMS for the first time....cramps and all. Beth Moore says PMS stand for Please More Spirit. Holy Spirit that is. I don't know if I need it so much as Tony needs it. My hair is receding and still falling out. My hip gets stiff if I sit on the front porch step too long and I have to limp the first couple of steps before I can get worked out. Oh and the worst most horrific thing of all is...I found a gigantic gray hair in my eyebrows!!!! I've included a picture of it. I knew I had bushy eyebrows but not 'man' bushy. Come on now.
