5 Random Things About Me

1. I hate Mac n Cheese. The smell has always made me want to vomit.

2. If I had the time to become a doctor, I would.

3. I love to cut the grass. I have 10+ acres that I have to keep cut, so that's a good thing I guess. It's probably just a really good excuse not to be doing the dishes or laundry.

4. I would like to live in Guatamala with my family for a short time when they get older.

5. I secretly wanted to be in a beauty pageant when I was a young girl.

Just A Few Cute Pics Of Brady

To Answer Chesed's Question

"Aren't you worried that your kids will start to associate math with punishment?"

No, they really don't mind the math too much. It just gets their attention in a more positive way. It also causes them to have to stop playing for a few minutes. That's the part they don't like. The math is more like occuping their "time out time" to keep them from getting into trouble during it.

I figured it out! It's down at the bottom of the page. OOPs I put the unedited pictures up. Oh well.

Update on "Problem Solved"

It has definately toned things down around here. I won't claim success just yet, though. Success will be solely dependent on me. Tony has jumped on board too, so that is good. Instead of hearing, "I'm gonna beat your tail boy."...we now hear "Do you want a math sheet?" Sounds a lot better anyway. They actually know they'll get a math sheet in contrast with not being concerned at all about the other threat. LOL Of course some just think it's grand. Madelyn begs for a math sheet, so maybe I'll have to do something else for her.....suggestions welcome...

P.S. I'm working on some pictures, but like I said, I barely have time to type up these inspireing pieces.

A Problem Solved With Math?

Everyday after I pick up the kids the argueing begins. I know it's mostly because everyone is tired, but It drives me crazy! Someone touched someone and it begins. Anyway, I've decided it's going to stop or at least diminish a little. The usual discipline was not having any long term effects. If they got the spoon, it might last a few minutes. If they got grounded from their TV and computer time, they'd just find something else to do. So, needless to say, I needed something different. I prayed for wisdom and came up with this while driving home with my ears ringing from the whining and fighting. They get One warning ( if I feel they deserve one) after that it's math problems. McKinley gets long division. Brandon gets a multiplication sheet. Madelyn gets an Addition and subtraction sheet. It worked like a charm yesterday, and I've got my sheets all printed out and ready for today. I figure it's a win win situation. Either they'll be really good at math or they'll quit fighting. Fingers are crossed, but I hope and pray this works. If not, I'm going to invest in a case of earplugs.

Super Bowl

Well, we had some friends come over for Super Bowl Sunday. Tony ordered 100 wings, 3 pizzas, 1 sub, I had already made sausage balls, and she had made rotel dip. They only have 2 small children. PaPa and my dad came to hunt, so they helped eat some of the food. Needless to say the kids have had wings for their snacks and dinner for a while.

PaPa actually killed a deer during the game, so Tony set it to record so they could go look for it. The record timer ended before the game did so they missed the last 6 minutes and the most exciting part of the game. Thankfully Bryan had left his tv on that chanel and was able to rewind it and see what they missed.

Madison's Checkup

Madison had her follow up urology appt. today. Her kidney is still dialated and working at 50%. She hasn't had any complications due to this and it hasn't gotten any worse, so we are going to wait 4 more months and do a CT Scan instead of a renal scan. The Dr. wants to see the anatomy of the kidney and ureter to see where exactly the obstruction is.

McKinley & Brady went to NeeNee's while we were gone. McKinley got to do her school -work there and I think NeeNee had fun. I had fun having a day off. It's nice to have a substitute every so often.

So I decided to join the "blogosphere"

I guess this is the adult version of myspace, so I need to grow up. I'll probably have like 2 sentence blogs or have my assitant, McKinley, do it for her english assignments. LOL Do ya'll think that would count? Maybe if I check her spelling and grammer? Any way I've had fun reading all ya'll's goings ons. By the way Summer if you read this, I loved your PaPa shout out. "Go big W"! wid yo 70 som odd b-day! Had to shout it out old school style for my peeps. Waasssupp! Ok, I'm starting to sound like Tony and I'm hyped up on some coke trying to get rid of a killer headache. That's coca-cola by the way. Love ya'll!
