Cupcake Love

Madison had not had anything with chocolate or sugar up to this point. Brady took care of that. Notice the stool. I need to add that all those little holes were full to begin with.

News

Tony's still passing kidney stones. We're going on 3 weeks now since the Litho. They sent some of them off to the lab and they found that they were made of Sunkist. Here's a pic of some I've collected for your viewing pleasure.

Notice the orange color. This all began 9 months ago. That is what's is kind of funny.

Ball season ended last week. I survived the full day of closing ceremonies. McKInley made Allstars. YAY! ...

Buddy's missing now for 5 days. There is a horrible dead smell coming from under the house.

Mother's day was nothing to rave about. I had a PBJ. The kids brought me a beautiful bouquet that they picked from my rose bushes. I won the award for most kids at church. I visited with my mom and sisters on the Sat before.

I'm getting 10 cats to kill the rats.

Ebay

I really want to include Weird Al Yancovich's song, "Ebay" along with this post, but I don't how so I'll leave a link.
Tony's been bugging me for a while to sell stuff on Ebay. I didn't listen at first because a lot of the stuff was given to me and I felt like I should just give it to someone else. Then I decided to quit ignoring my husband and just try it out. I was also inspired by "AL". Well I've made close to $300.00 in one month! Now you would think I had sold super cool stuff...HA! I'll include some pictures. Used Crocs advertised as still in good shape structurally, do not look new, but clean, SOLD for $13.50 plus $3.00 to Ship (I only had to pay $1.65 shipping ;) ) Used Bermuda shorts good condition SOLD for $6.00 plus $ 5.00 shipping. Baby toy good shape sold for $12.00 plus $5.00 shipping! What the heck! Are these people nuts! I've gotten great feedback from everything too. "Great Seller! A++++++Ebayer! Super Fast Shipping!" really boosts the spirits in the morning. LOL The baby toy I sold cost $18.00 new when I bought it at Christmas time. I almost croaked paying that much, but it was so cute. Madison never played with it.

This just goes to show how competitive people can be. It's the whole "I want to be the winner" mentality that gets me $51.00 dollars for and old baseball glove that had been sitting in Brandon's closet for 2 years!

So if ya'll have some old junk siting around....Sell it on Ebay!

Ball Season

Well, we are well into our ball season and I feel like I live at the ball park. Sara, you are lucky to have just recently started and missed some of the cold nights, maybe. Needless to say, this is why I haven't posted in a while. I haven't gotten to see much of Brandon's games because they are usually at the same time as McKinley's. I stand between the two fields and watch one or the other. I usualy watch more of McKinley's since she pitches. It seems like every time I miss seeing Brandon bat. Anyway, it is pretty stressful keeping up with four kids who aren't playing for the 2-3 hour games especially once it gets dark. Brady comes home pretty dirty from playing in the dirt where I stand to watch. I have my little group of baby sitters that take turns with Madison, and the little girls usually run around where I can still keep an eye on them. I'm lucky to see any of the game. Since Tony coaches Brandon he can't help out. Thanks Pops, for relieving me of some of the very late Friday night games. I told my babysitter, Kappi, I was going to hire her one night so I could just sit and watch a game with out worrying where all the kids are. LOL

But both kids are playing well and enjoying it. We only have 3 weeks left whew. I think McKinley is the only one playing allstars this year, but that is still up in the air. Tony doesn't want Brandon to play this year since he just moved up to the minors.

I am so sick of smelling the frenchfries cooking and when the kids get some I find myself eating them without even wanting to. Yuck.

Sorry if this post is pretty depressing; I'm just so stressed out and tired. Any prayers for energy and patience would be welcome. My house is a dissaster from my never being home to clean, and when I am, I'm too tired.

I'm going to try and post some pics.

This one's for Sara

I noticed Sara's comment on my mom's blog about the Alan Jackson concert. I need to elaborate on that. So here goes.

Way back when I was a young girl of about 11 or 12 years old I remember a summer I will never forget.......

That summer I spent 2 weeks at my cousin Sara's house. At the time, they were living in a "little bitty" ( it's alright to be little bitty) house on a "little bitty" lake. They had an old ski boat. We spent most of our days skiing and listening to Sara's radio. This particular summer, Sara's favorite song was "Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee" by Alan Jackson. Now I put up a hard front with my opinion that country music was stupid. I only thought this because my brothers said it was, so it must have been. But when I was in Georgia.....I had "gone country". My southern accent suddenly came out. I said ain't and I listened to country music. That summer I learned every word to that "way down yonder song". Sara and I had the best tan's and fancied that all the boys on that lake were looking at us. Uncle Norman let us "drive" the boat sometimes and we felt like we looked old enough to be 16 when we were behind that wheel. We wore our fluorescent green and black sunglasses and poofed our bangs up. I can't remember a single summer as vividly as I remember this one. So I have to thank you Sara ( and Doh & Norman for letting me come) for forcing me to listen to that country stuff all summer. I'm a country girl at heart and enjoy the simple things in life. After I got back home from Georgia my brothers teased the accent back into it's usual place and swore if I ever listened to that country crap they'd break my radio, so I went back to just being a country girl in my heart.

But look out brothers...cause she's gone country and if you check my radio dial it's on the country station and if you listen to my kids they all use double negatives and say ain't. And at that Alan Jackson concert, I still knew every word to "Way down yonder on the Chattahoochie". So there!

I love you Sara!

"A+ for originality"

As anyone with a lot of children knows, we get a lot of comments on our large broods. I get the usual comments quite often. Such as....."Wow, I can't even handle 1, much less 6!" ....or "Don't ya'll have a TV?"....or "You know what causes that don't you?" ....or "So are you going to have any more?" .....or "I would have already had that taken care of"..... or "How old are you anyway"; but this past weekend Tony's friend (whom I have never met) took the cake. They were talking and suddenly he lets out a whoop. I really wasn't paying any attention; or I would have instinctively known what the whoop was about. He reaches around Tony to where I was standing and starts to shake my hand with great enthusiasm and says, "I've just got to shake your hand. You've got one hell of a uterus!". I, caught quite by surprise, was speechless. And he was gone just as quick as he came. After recounting the story to my mother and sister and to several others, I realized, that part of my body never gets any of the credit for all of these kiddos. So good job uterus! You done good.
